The Republic of Equatorial Guinea Announces Agreement with the Republic of Cameroon to Evaluate Cross-Border Data.

In October 2016, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea announced that it entered into a Data Exchange Agreement with the Republic of Cameroon. Under the terms of the agreement, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea will share data with the Republic of Cameroon covering the Yolanda gas condensate field discovered offshore Equatorial Guinea in 2007, and the Republic of Cameroon will share data with the Republic of Equatorial Guinea covering Yoyo gas condensate field discovered offshore Cameroon in 2007.

Through this cooperative agreement, both countries will have the opportunity to evaluate the potential of both discoveries, with are located in close proximity to one another. This is a significant step towards potential future development of the Yolanda and Yoyo discoveries, which would provide economic benefits to both the Republics of Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon.
