Wednesday December 3rd of current took place in Sofia (Bulgaria) the signature of a joint venture contract (“J V”) between SEGESA HOLDING SA and Equatorial Guinea ASPI Group, a subsidiary of the Bulgarian company ASPI GREEN ENERGY Ltd., concerning the construction and operation of a supply logistical center for electrical equipment in Equatorial Guinea (SEGESA CIM).
The Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy, Hon. Mr. Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, in his capacity as head of the sector and President of the Steering Committee of the SEGESA Restructuring , highlighted:
“SEGESA Holding, in its industrialization process enacted by the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, has been timely give a decisive boost to the energy sector by diversifying their productive activities and trade”
This Logistic Hub of Electrical Materials Supply will be built in the Industrial City of Mbini (CIM),
constituting a definitive bet to the national industrialization draft led by this ministerial department. The materials will be supplied according to the energy requirements of Equatorial Guinea, being manufactured by leading producers in the field of electricity with quality certificate and material testing laboratory.
Moreover and in the same line, to develop the Rural Electrification Project, focused on improving electricity services to less populated areas has placed an order for transformers, cells and LED bulbs for public lighting lamps in the cities of Bata and Malabo, and adjacent neighborhoods and villages. The materialization of this order also involves ongoing maintenance of all over the country transformers, by SEGESA CIM in the Industrial City of Mbini.
